Well, there’s an advert for Amul cheese which I can see clearly on my trip back home from school. They change the advert every week and its almost like a challenge for me week after week to try and guess what they’re talking about. Here’s what they put up last week:
This was talking about the success of the film “Pushpa” in india.
The subtitle was about the actor Allu Arjun (terrible pun). Basically every time I see a poster like this I try to guess what they’re talking about. Usually I get the topic within a few seconds of looking at the billboard and analysing the title and caption. But there’s a few times I don’t get it right, like yesterday :
I knew this had something to do with the Tatas and Air India. The caption read “in good hands” which obviously meant that Air India was now a part of Tata again. The only thing I got wrong was the face. I thought the person in the co pilot’s seat was Ratan Tata but I was wrong, it was N Chandrasekaran who played a big role in the accquisition of Air India as we can read below:
A few more easier to understand Amul adverts include this:
Its clear that the image is talking about more investment in education as mentioned in the budget presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
All in all the Amul ads are really helpful in keeping the current affairs as interesting as possible. Now its your turn, find an Amul billboard in your city and try to guess what its talking about!
